  • The monthly MVGA Tournament is held on the third Saturday of each month. Entries for each tournament are accepted one month in advance. Sign up sheets describing the tournament format are located in the club house. Tee times are assigned and may be obtained by calling the club house on the Friday before the tournament. If you sign up for a tournament and are unable to play, please call and notify the pro shop prior to your starting time.

A player must have a handicap to play in any monthly tournament. Should a player have played less than the required 20 rounds necessary to establish an official USGA handicap, a temporary handicap may be assigned and adjusted by the tournament committee. A player must have recorded a minimum of 10 rounds at Mystery Valley to play in any of the MVGA Championships. Three hole playoffs (then sudden death) will determine all Championship playoffs.

The USGA Handicap Index is determined by using the best 10 scores out of the player's latest 20 rounds compared against the course rating and slope. A player is expected to post a score for every 18 holes of golf played. No player without a handicap may record a one hole score that exceeds par by more than two strokes. Once a player has recorded at least 5 rounds of golf, a temporary handicap will be assigned until the required 20 rounds have been posted.

Thank you for inquiring about the MVGA. As a MVGA Members, you are expected to help keep your course clean, traps raked, divots and ball marks repaired, and are requested to remind other players to do the same.

We need your help and suggestions to make this golf association the best in Georgia. Come and enjoy the game and fellowship of your fraternal association members.
